Phyllis Brown's Profile

I am a proud 2nd grade teacher of 25 amazing 2nd graders!  My passion for educating children has changed my life and will always remain as my heartfelt vocation.  I believe that every child has a valuable literacy and learning ability. As a child practitioner I have discovered that all children in society have the potential to become an academic success but all children are not afforded the same opportunities.  As a scholar of change I value the quality in early childhood and believe that children are entitled to an enriching education.  I consider myself a lifelong learner, my desire is to grow and evolve in early childhood, making a difference one child at a time.

Educationally Yours,

Mrs. Phyllis Brown

  1. Hi Phyllis, we have a great deal in common. I too teach second grade students and could not agree more with your statement that all children have potential but not all have the opportunities! Thanks for sharing your eloquent post!

  4. Hello Phyllis,
I must agree with you. I feel that every child should received a high quality education. I feel that every child can and will learn if given the right types of instructions and in using developmentally appropriate instructions for each child. I am a strong advocate for my preschool children. They are always wanted to do things but do not want to include the preschool. This does not work with me. Now in my school they are always including the preschooler because they know I will have concerns about it. I will always be a strong advocates for my early childhood students.
